Open Question: moving..location help?

My fiance and i are moving in a few months. His job is transferring him to one of these cities all in California : Daly City, Merced, Fresno, Bakersfield, Stockton, Salinas, Richmond or Antioch. We still don't know which city we would like to live in. we are from northern California so we don't anything about these cities. please, any information would be great. bad,good, weather, crime, cost, gangs, good neighborhoods. also, any surrounding town/cites that are in short driving distance (if that town/city is awesome. ) :) thank-you!...
